NSU Progress Reminders is an optional, opt-in text message program that sends students helpful reminders related to their account — including goal check-ins, upcoming deadlines for saved opportunities, milestone reminders, and new relevant opportunities. Messages are intended to encourage students to return to NSU and continue working toward goals they have created.
SMS reminders are off by default. You must intentionally opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the consent box. Consent is voluntary and is not required to create or use a free NSU account. When you opt in, you agree to receive recurring automated NSU text messages related to your account, goals, progress, opportunities, and reminders.
NSU records your consent status and the timestamp of your consent. You can review or withdraw consent at any time from your NSU account settings.
Because NSU serves middle and high school students, additional parent/guardian authorization may be required for younger users depending on NSU's final legal and privacy policy. Where required, NSU will ask for a parent/guardian name and confirmation of their consent before enabling SMS. NSU does not attempt to bypass parental consent requirements.
NSU collects only the information needed to send relevant reminders (your mobile number, consent status, and your goal/opportunity data). We do not sell your information or send promotional spam. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
NSU's SMS provider integration is still being configured. You may set your preferences and consent now, but actual text messages will begin only after SMS sending is enabled. This page describes the intended program and is provided for transparency. Final consent language, age requirements, carrier requirements, and SMS provider terms will be reviewed before production launch.
